Messaround Records was launched in 2018 by Mikey Ariel, a.k.a. Miss Mikey May. While recording her own album, she realized that not only is she capable of managing the production and distribution of her own music, she enjoys it!

And if she can do it for herself, she can do it for other musicians.

So Messaround Records was born. Our approach is different, but simple: We work for you, not you for us. A traditional record label normally signs an artist, pays for the entire production and distribution, and pays out royalties and advances. Messaround Records offers services at a flat fee or sales percentage. We believe this gives you, the artist, more freedom and independence in creating and publishing your music.

Our job is to set up the administrative and business infrastructure so that our artists can focus on creating and performing their music. We cater to local and regional artists who might just need that little extra help to get their music recorded and published.
